People who review manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications are not typically trained to do so and often review based on their prior experiences of receiving reviews. This guidance — a guide and a review checklist — was developed by the Editorial Board of Pediatrics to assist reviewers in crafting a thoughtful and impactful review that improves the quality of the final paper.
