These reflections are prepared as part of the Survivor Engagement Training and Technical Assistance (SETTA) project’s final report to summarize the outcomes, and lessons learned from the project—a survivor-defined initiative developed through partnership between the Office for Victims of Crime (OVC), ICF, Survivor Alliance (SA), and the National Survivor Network (NSN).

SETTA was created to strengthen and expand meaningful survivor engagement (SE) across OVC-funded anti-trafficking programs. Over the course of the project, SETTA supported grantees in building survivor-informed practices, facilitated peer learning, and elevated the voices and leadership of survivors with lived experience of trafficking.

This report captures the reflections, testimonies, case studies, and insights shared by SETTA partners, consultants, and grantees nationwide. These contributions illustrate the transformative impact of survivor-led approaches and highlight the importance of continuous learning and unlearning in the anti-trafficking field.
