Lived Experience Advisory Board Job Description Worksheet |
Choosing advisory board members just because of their trauma experiences is tokenising, and yet many traditional approaches to creating a job description are meant to exclude rather than clarify. This worksheet, developed by CTI Co-Founder Chris Ash in 2021, can help organisations 1) Identify the areas of their work a board could advise on, 2) Identify the elements to be advised, and 3) Determine the skills needed to perform that kind of advising, so that they can 4) Craft a specific job description for an advisory board member that highlights skills needed without unnecessary reliance on formal education and “professional” experience. |
